Weekend

This movie deserves the accolades it received. It's smart, well-written, and a good little movie. It reminded me of the golden age of American independent films of yesteryear - you know the mid 90's. Or maybe it just reminded me of being young?

I liked the structure of the film really only taking place over one weekend. I liked the two main actors. I like that the movie was about a gay relationship but not about being in a GAY relationship if that makes any sense. I liked that it was a universal love story of yearning and hope coupled with what it means to be gay when society still isn't quite ready for that.
