This is the best new Bond yet. Perhaps one of the best ever? To be honest, I have no idea. I didn't see any of them from A View to a Kill until Casino Royale.  And I've barely watched many of the old ones since 1985 anyway. I just know that I have great memories of watching the old ones with my dad and I can't wait until the boys are old enough to start watching them with me.

I love the first "Is Bond dead" scene? I like all the being mad at M scenes. The charm is back. The humor is there. And then there is the whole Javier Bardem aspect. What a crackpot. I love that guy. And how awesome was Bond's response to Bardem's come-ons? Not played for homophobic laughs but rather a clever retort to a baddie. How many years before Bond takes a gay lover?
