The Cabin in the Woods

I'm glad I was able to avoid what this movie was about. And don't worry - I won't ruin it. It's a modern version of Scream (just typing that made me wince) but a lot less winking. Scream was good for 1996 but this takes that film and one ups it on the clever fun.

It's kind of a perfect tribute to the horror films that it is enamored with. I'm assuming Sam Raimi loves it. Every ominous sign of trouble ahead is perfect. The casting is perfect. The action is great. I just hope there are aren't three sequels in the works.
