The Muppets

My review: It was pretty good and a fun way to spend Thanksgiving morning.

Sujan's review: The songs were terrible but the bits that were reminiscent of the old Muppets stuff was good.

I asked Otis if he liked it. He said yes. I asked him what his favorite part was. He said, "The Muppets."

Sam said he didn't like the movie. But he did like leaving the theater for a few minutes to go to the bathroom with Mom.

Despite repeatedly saying he didn't like it, he did request that we watch this the next day. To be fair though, he did keep saying at the theater that he likes watching things at home - on the iPad.

i really enjoyed it but thought it was too focused on the nostalgia and not enough on current nuttiness. overall a very nice entry into the muppet ouevre which should keeps things tipped slightly to the good column. and i have to disagree completely about the songs. i loved them all and dug hearing bret mackensie's fingerprints all over them. the opening tune was awesome and i loved the disco number but the best by far was the 70s soft rock genius of am i a man or am i a muppet. easily on par with the greatest of the conchords' gems.

sujan doesn't like flight of the conchords. you've got to admit that the rap was hideously bad though.

and to be honest, i was never a huge muppets guy anyway.

exactly, the songs sounded like they were taken straight from an episode of flight of the conchords; this was not the bret and jermaine movie.
