An Inconvenient Truth

Holy shit, this movie was scary. I mean, the facts are irrefutable. And no one will listen to the genius who has been warning us for years and years. What are we going to do?

And when that tidal wave (or was it a giant wave of ice, I can't remember) descends upon poor Jake Gyllenhaal and his less good looking friends on the steps of the New York Public Library, not even Dennis Quaid will be able to save us then.

I just bought this DVD!!!
It is scary. What's heartbreaking is polar bears drowning because they can't reach any ice floes.:(
And the before and after shots of snow capped mountains was freaky too.
I was sucked in by this video. I also never realized how good looking Gore is.

How insane is it that in hindsight that Jake flick looks less and less sensationlaistic!

The global warming story is the biggest out there. Have you followed the canadian ice shelf the size of Manhattan breaking off story? The scientists had estimated it would take 1000 years, it took an hour.....

This movie, while sometimes a bit boring in the Gore personel naratives parts, is crazy scary and if this past weekend didnt confirm it I dont what would....

I heard an expert say,(sorry I forgot his name, it was on CNN)he said that even if we clean up our act and do everything possible to stop global warming,it would still take many years to remedy the situation.

The Bible Reader in me says, this is a sign, take heed.

I wanted to mention how much I liked the way the DVD was packaged

i got the movie through netflix so i haven't seen the packaging.

i read that this past weekend's weather didn't have anything to do with global warming. but who knows? i just assumed that it did.

one of the things i'm optimistic about is that a number of evangelical groups are getting behind putting political pressure on our leaders to start making changes.

i found the movie to be pretty good but i'm glad i didn't see it in the theaters - it was fine for tv though.
